Bella’s Pantry

Bella’s Pantry is a pet food assistance program that was started on December 13, 2014, at Lytle Animal Care and Control.  Bella’s Pantry was named in honor of Bella Boxer who lived at Lytle Animal Care and Control for many years as the dog-in-residence(office).   When Bella passed away in early 2014, we wanted a way to honor her for how special she was to our facility and our community.  Bella’s Pantry was created in her honor.

Bella’s Pantry is a donation driven pet food program.  We ask the pet owners to complete a form for our information.  There is no requirement for receiving food from the pantry.  If you need food, come see us; however, the food is for pets that are companions NOT used for breeding or illegal activities.  Also, we try to help our pet owners to spay and neuter their pets.  The only answer to overpopulation is to spay/neuter.

Bella’s Pantry is open the last Saturday of every month. We open at 10 AM to noon during the cooler months and then 9 AM to 11 AM when it starts getting warmer.  The Pantry is open to anyone in Lytle and our surrounding communities.

Lytle Animal Allies took over Bella’s Pantry in 2017 when they became a nonprofit.  Since opening in 2014 an average of 60 to 70 pet owners which breaks down to an average of 270 dogs and 244 cats are helped monthly.

If anyone would like to contribute dog or cat food to Bella’s Pantry it can be dropped off at Lytle Animal Care and Control, donate thru PayPal (lytleanimalallies@yahoo.com), or via Lytle Animal Allies Amazon Wishlist.

This is a program that is appreciated by the pet owners who come every month.  It is a hands-on way to know your donation is gratefully received.
